We're looking for multiple Platform Engineers to join our growing team, and we have opportunities available for engineers across a wide range of experience levels. What you will do in this role:Work closely with teammates and stakeholders in a Lean Agile environment to build mission-critical production applications focused on data discovery and analysisParticipate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiativesLeverage modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and delivery speedDesign and develop software (write code) to maintain scalable, secure, and automated cloud-native infrastructure platforms that support microservice-based applications and data platformsDevelop platform capabilities that enable development teams to build, deploy, and monitor applications efficientlyCollaborate with software developers, security engineers, and operations teams to ensure reliability, observability, and compliance with federal security standardsImplement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines to support consistent and repeatable deployments You may thrive in this role if you have the following skills:Active Security Clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain oneExperience with source control (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipeline tools such as AWS CodeBuild (preferred), Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub ActionsExperience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and OOP based software in a containerized cloud environment (AWS preferred) leveraging foundational services for computing, identity management, and networking.Hands-on experience with designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (preferred), AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to enable automated, repeatable, and secure deployments.Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, with experience in configuration management-preferably using AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages with proficiency in command-line tools/conceptsEffective written and verbal communication skills necessary to perform job duties and collaborate with team membersCandidates must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of Herndon, VA to support onsite collaboration as needed.
