HIRING: SOFTWARE ENGINEER | SAN FRANCISCO, CAI’m currently sourcing an exceptional Software Engineer for an early-stage AI company building domain-specific AI solutions that automate insurance workflows.This is a high-ownership, full-stack engineering opportunity for someone who wants to work closely with founders, customers, and an exceptional engineering team.• Location: South Park, San Francisco, CA• Work Model: 5 days/week in-office• Employment: Full-time•Salary: $150K–$220K + Competitive Equity•Experience: 3+ years in full-stack software engineering •Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship What You’ll Do• Build and refine autonomous digital workers that automate insurance workflows end-to-end• Design, develop, and ship features across the full stack• Build frontend interfaces, backend APIs, services, and critical infrastructure• Work directly with customers to understand their business processes and deliver solutions• Strengthen AI and compute infrastructure, asynchronous processing, observability, and operations• Partner with the go-to-market team to translate customer requirements into product priorities• Take significant ownership of technical decisions, product development, and deliveryWhat We’re Looking For• 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience •Strong frontend + backend capabilities, ideally with a 50/50 to 70/30 backend split •Hands-on experience with AI concepts, APIs, workflows, and tooling•Demonstrated ownership of features, products, side projects, or meaningful open-source work•Ability to solve complex technical problems independently •Evidence of a strong “spike of excellence” — such as experience at a top-tier technology company, exceptional GitHub/open-source work, or founder/early-engineer experience• Comfortable working in a scrappy, fast-paced, high-ownership startup environmentNice to Have• Experience at a high-growth AI, B2B SaaS, or FinTech startup• Platform/infrastructure experience• Async processing• Observability• Compute infrastructure• Performance optimization• Degree from a top-20 Computer Science program Important RequirementsThis role is not remote.Candidates must:• Be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, or be willing to relocate• Be able to work onsite 5 days per week in South Park, San Francisco• Have U.S. work authorization that does not require visa sponsorshipThe team is looking for engineers with strong ownership and impact, rather than candidates whose experience has been exclusively within large, non-agile organizations. Frequent job changes of less than 1.5 years per role may also be a concern.
