Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description The QA Engineer will be responsible for managing tasks related to current production processes, continuous improvement, and daily support with internal and external customers. This role will lead the organization in supporting MRB and RMA activities and implementing root cause problem-solving and improvement strategies to prevent customer escapes and internal defects. The QA Engineer will play a key role in launching new products by ensuring compliance and readiness through Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate directly with customers to understand and address quality concerns, providing timely responses for containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness reviews.Ensure customer requirements are properly interpreted and incorporated into Supplier Purchase Orders.Organize on-site visits and audits with customers as needed.Analyze production problems, recommend and implement corrective actions, and gather data to create metrics and plans for continuous improvement.Monitor and improve production quality metrics such as first pass yield, and participate in daily GEMBA meetings to lead improvements.Lead multidisciplinary efforts to perform root cause analysis on internal and external products, ensuring corrective actions are validated to prevent non-conformance recurrence.Perform internal audits and create reports according to procedures.Serve as a Quality representative on the Engineering Change Control Board.Lead cultural transformation of quality standards within the Production and Quality organization by adhering to the Quality Management System and reinforcing core values of respect, integrity, and accountability.Develop Part Acceptance standards for Final Inspection, Assembly, and Receiving Inspection areas, and ensure these requirements are communicated to suppliers. Essential SkillsExpertise in root cause analysis and quality engineering.Experience with AS9100, PPAP, and quality control processes.Capability to create and implement corrective action plans.BS degree with 7 years of technical industry experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.Proficiency in working with materials such as plastics, metals, elastomers, and metal finishes.Familiarity with OEM documentation including drawings, specifications, routers, BOMs, and parts lists.Demonstrated leadership or program management abilities.Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Outlook.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with aerospace, military, automotive, and FAA standards is preferred.Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is advantageous.Proactive approach to planning, organizational capabilities, and problem resolution.Collaborative in engaging team members and fostering an open environment for sharing information.Sound judgment in selecting best-practice solutions and explaining prioritization decisions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Valencia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $68.27/hr.
