Position SummaryERock is seeking a dynamic and operationally focused manufacturing executive to lead the expansion of its Houston manufacturing operations as Vice President, Manufacturing. This role will oversee production and manufacturing activities supporting the company’s engine and generator packaging business.The VP will serve as the operational leader for the Houston site and will be responsible for scaling production operations, improving manufacturing efficiency, strengthening quality systems, and building a disciplined manufacturing organization capable of supporting rapid expansion.This is a highly visible and business-critical leadership role requiring an individual who can operate effectively at every level of the organization, from executive leadership discussions focused on strategy, scalability, operational metrics, and financial performance, to direct engagement with shop floor teams driving execution, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Leadership & OperationsLead day-to-day operations for ERock’s Houston manufacturing and production facility.Oversee fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing support functions.Drive production performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes, operational metrics, and productivity initiatives to support company growth.Maintain a strong floor presence and hands-on leadership approach across manufacturing operations.Continuous Improvement & Operational ExcellenceDrive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs across all operations.Improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, workflow, and operational scalability.Establish operational discipline and accountability systems across production teams.Cross-Functional & Business LeadershipCollaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Field Operations teams to align manufacturing execution with business priorities.Ensure manufacturing capabilities meet customer requirements for quality, responsiveness, cost, and delivery performance.Own manufacturing budgets, staffing plans, operational metrics, and capacity planning initiatives.Communicate operational performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to executive leadership.Quality, Safety & Team LeadershipEnsure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards across manufacturing operations.Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance.Build credibility and alignment across both executive leadership and production floor teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related discipline required.10+ years of progressive manufacturing and production leadership experience within industrial, energy, power systems, electrical equipment, or heavy manufacturing environments.Proven experience leading complex manufacturing or fabrication operations in a high-growth or scaling environment.Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Experience with reciprocating engine manufacturing is highly desirable.Technical & Leadership SkillsStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and production system management.Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence and ability to drive execution through teams.Strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, rapidly evolving manufacturing environments.Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverageCompany-paid life insuranceFSA and HSA plans with company contribution401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid vacation, sick time, and company holidaysWellness programs and employee incentivesCollaborative and modern open-office work environmentWork EnvironmentThis role operates within an active manufacturing environment in Houston, TX and requires regular presence on the production floor. The leader must be able to navigate manufacturing areas safely, stand for extended periods, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety policies.
