We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: Responsible for providing proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the program, in compliance with government and management directives.Essential FunctionsProvide proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the programDetermine, recommend, and arrange student visits to counselorWork with designated counselor to develop retention plans and participate in retention programDirect dorm activities as designatedPatrol and monitor dormitories and center as required to ensure safety and proper behavior of students; resolve potential or occurring problemsAssist with recreational activities for students on and off centerTransport students to and from recreational functions, airport or bus stations as requiredPrepare the morning report; pass list and other administrative correspondence relating to studentsDirect students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitoryRecommend or requisition supplies to provide needs for dorm living and safety of studentsConduct group sessions in accordance with the schedule; participate in and conduct career preparation activities and Career Success Standards (CSS) trainingMaintain dormitory and individual student files; maintain files to include complete, updated and required documentation. Update student records in CIS as requiredConduct daily inspections of several dormitories, as assignedProvide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.Participate in student employability programs and activitiesSupport, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance PolicyPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventionsMaintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practicesEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required and one year experience working with youth preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency requiredValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordManagement & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
