Meadow Falls of Wickliffe - Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our assisted living team. The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals that meet residents' dietary needs while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirementsEnsure all food is prepared in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulationsFollow special diet orders (mechanical soft, diabetic-friendly, low sodium, etc.)Maintain portion control and proper food presentationAssist with food prep, cooking, and serving during meal timesMonitor food temperatures and maintain proper storage of all food itemsKeep kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organizedCollaborate with nursing staff and administration regarding resident dietary needsAssist with inventory, food ordering, and minimizing wasteQualifications High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious cooking experience required (healthcare, assisted living, or restaurant preferred)Knowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation standardsFood Handler's Permit or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to follow recipes and dietary modificationsStrong time management and organizational skillsSkills & Attributes Passion for working with seniorsDependable, team-oriented, and adaptableAttention to detail and qualityAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and strong work ethicWhat We Offer Competitive paySupportive team environmentOpportunities for growth and advancementMeaningful work serving our resident community
