OverviewPrimary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Software Engineer (Embedded) to join a multinational medical device company for an onsite role operating out of Boston, MA.Pay: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr based on experience and academiaContract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possibleType: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorshipOnsite: 100% Onsite in Boston, MAAbout the RoleWe are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the Robotic Assisted Surgery platform. This role is based in Boston, MA. You will join a world-class team developing software for surgical robotics, collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to enhance this innovative platform.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and troubleshoot embedded software in C/C++ for robotic surgical devices.Support board bring-up, system integration, and validation testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, design solutions, and ensure quality.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, with opportunities to act as Scrum Master or Product Owner.Must HaveBachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree and 2+ years).Proficiency in C/C++ with strong embedded software development background.Hands-on experience with embedded devices, board bring-up, and Linux/QNX or similar OS.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.Python Experience.Medical Device industry experience.Nice to HaveBackground in software architecture design.Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).Certified Scrum MasterPrimary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
