To learn more, please visit: https://www.NFP.com.Summary: The Assistant Vice President, Consulting is a key leader responsible for driving client success, supporting business growth, and fostering talent within the consulting division. This role combines strategic direction with active leadership, focusing on building strong client relationships, assisting in new business development, and mentoring up-and-coming consulting professionals. The AVP will work closely with producers, client service teams, and regional leaders to ensure outstanding service delivery and the creation of lasting value.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Retention:Serve as sponsor and lead consultant for key client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growthCollaborate with consulting and service teams to deliver high-impact solutions and maintain trusted advisor statusActively participate in client strategy sessions and provide senior-level guidance on complex challengesBusiness Development & Onboarding:Partner with producers and business development teams to provide technical consulting support for new business opportunitiesParticipate in sales meetings, pitch strategy, and proposal development to help close dealsLead the transition from sales to service, ensuring client service teams are aligned and equipped for successful onboarding and long-term engagementTalent Development & Mentorship:Work closely with Consulting Team Leads and colleagues across different regions to support a team-focused approach to projectsHelp identify consultants who show strong potential and assist with their developmentOffer practical training and coaching to build technical and client service skills, either by working together on projects or through organized learning sessionsHelp create opportunities for team members to learn from each other and grow their careersStrategic & Operational Leadership:Contribute to the strategic direction of the consulting divisionShare insights on project delivery, resource allocation, and financial performance to ensure quality and profitabilityFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementChampion transformation initiatives across the state and sub region they work in, and Central Region benefits teamsKnowledge, Skills, And/or AbilitiesStrong interpersonal, communication, and executive presenceDemonstrated ability to mentor and develop emerging talentExperience in strategizing client retention and business growthExperience in professional services, digital transformation, or enterprise consultingFamiliarity with consulting methodologies and frameworksAbility to navigate complex client environments and drive consensusEducation And/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)12+ years of consulting experience in employee benefitsProven success in client relationship management, business development, and team leadershipCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationLife & Health Insurance LicenseWhat We OfferWe're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. The base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $150,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.NFP and You...
