We are searching for an Associate Quality Engineer to join our GAL team at Vantage Elevation.About UsVantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. The Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.This role will support a cross-functional team in developing supplier quality and quality assurance activities, identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and implementing continuous improvement projects for suppliers and manufacturing.RequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field requiredHands-on quality control (QC) experience in metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, and/or electronic assembly environments preferredExperience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System; familiarity with machining, electrical components, PCB (PWB) assembly, and hardware assembly is a plus (automotive and/or aerospace experience preferred)Experience with ERP systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS), including tools such as Unipoint, is highly preferredStrong understanding of data management and database structures; familiarity with SQL is a plusAbility to analyze and interpret quality data to support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiativesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel (including Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and WordSpanish bilingual is a plus Duties And ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include:Core Quality Engineering ResponsibilitiesSupport root cause analysis and corrective action activities (RCA/CAPA) for internal and supplier-related issuesAssist in developing and implementing inspection and testing proceduresSupport the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)Ensure compliance with product requirements, customer-specific requirements, and applicable standardsTrack and analyze quality metrics (KPIs) such as rejects, RMAs, and manufacturing yieldsAssist in defining quality targets, goals, and continuous improvement initiativesCommunicate quality issues across departments and support cross-functional problem solvingSupport supplier quality activities including performance tracking, trending, and improvement actionsProvide quality input for engineering changes (ECNs) and process improvementOperational / Administrative SupportCreate and process RMAs as neededGenerate and manage picklists to support quality and production activitiesSupport internal and external customer inquiries related to quality issuesAct as liaison between Scheduling, Engineering, and Manufacturing for issue follow-up and resolutionPerform other quality-related administrative and operational tasks as assignedBenefits Of Working With UsSalary for New York City-based applicants: $72,000 - $82,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
