Construction Superintendent

Construction SuperintendentOur team is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to manage our projects. You'll supervise our staff and ensure projects are delivered on time. As a superintendent, your job duties will also include allocating and monitoring budgets.This role requires excellent communication skills, as you'll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers. In order to succeed, it's important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite. If you are organized, able to work well under pressure and have experience in this field, we'd like to meet you.ResponsibilitiesA project superintendent's role is to effectively monitor, direct, and coordinate the field operationsYou will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractorsSupport management of the construction team, project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting and leading on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors and the clientYou'll be the primary point of contact for the clientAs a Construction Manager, you'll have accountability for delivering a construction project within the contracted scope, schedule and budgetOrder materials and tools (avoid "crisis" buying)Prepare necessary reports (e.g. time sheets, work orders, daily reports and invoice approval)Ability to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required by managementPromote safe work environment, holding crews accountable for safe work practicesPrepare and interpret drawings, graphs, maps, blueprints, bid documents, contracts, proposals, and specificationsIdentify and resolve any blueprint issues prior to and during construction Key requirements:You have previous site management experience while maintaining a good relationship with clients and suppliersYou enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the fieldA minimum of 5 years of project management experienceProficient - expert experience level using Microsoft tools (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)In-depth knowledge of construction management in commercial building applications including applicable building codes and standardsAbility to interpret documents produced in AutoCAD, GIS, and other discipline-relevant softwareOSHA advanced safety training4-year degree in a construction-related field Locations: Tennessee, Washington, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, Kansas, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, California, and IllinoisIf you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or by emailing your resume to engineers@rpo-recruit.us.comAlternatively, you are welcome to contact either Meghan Groves at 480-546-6432 or Dawn McIntyre at 480-546-6438.
