This position provides support to the restoration inspection group, for a CDWM Capital Improvement Program. The Document Engineer is accountable for timely and accurate input of data, document production and reporting, and throughout review and analysis of information received from restoration inspectors, restoration managers, and City of Chicago project coordination office (PCO).Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of project information via retrieval and management (document control) of archived historical documentation necessary for project assessment and executionAssembly and management of completed project documentation for use by construction management and operations teamsData entry to assist with project status tracking in Microsoft® Excel and Primavera® Version 6 databaseFormal correspondence (electronic and non-electronic) with both internal and external entitiesGeneral assistance to the CTR technical delivery teams by coordinating project files, preparing project progress reports, maintaining files, and any other related duty as assigned or requestedThis position has enough knowledge of its own activities and responsibilities to work independentlyQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering, is requiredMinimum of 2 years experience in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferredProficiency with Microsoft tools, including MSWord, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Good oral and written communication skillsExcellent teamwork, coordination and collaboration skills Ability to respond proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust and respond effectively to changes Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload, problem-solve, and meet deadlines set by the program leadership team Compensation Range: $80,000-$110,000 annuallyWhat’s In It For YouCompany-paid life and disability insuranceOptional benefits like pet insurance, legal, and supplemental health plans401(k) with day-one eligibility.
