Assists and maintain all administrative accounting and other plant duties along with scale operations.Essential Functions/Position ResponsibilitiesTrack daily receiptsInform operators of OCC and SS loads so they can inspect quality of loadsMaintain records detailing the quality of incoming and outgoing loadsDocument all deduction with pictures on Google DriveWeigh trucks in and outParticipation in safety committee and/or meetingsCross train with other Admin/Scale ClerkWrite & reconcile peddler checksResponsible for vendor scale checks and reconciliationMaintaining shipping/receiving logs completelyOn receiving log, add freight cost in comments sectionLogging the drivers/loads on the receiving/shipping logsWeighing loads in/out for loads shippingKeying of all loads on the day of transferNotifying shipping when driver arrives to p/u outbound loadsDaily tasks (but not limited to): Reconcile all Shipping and Receiving logs, and documentWeekly tasks (but not limited to): Review, resolve and approve reports with outstanding line itemsMust be able to work in varying climateClear understanding of safety PPE & Housekeeping policies and proceduresMust be able to work in manufacturing/plant environmentMust have flexible hours and able to work various times/daysMust be able to follow a task to completionUnderstand inventory control plansOther job-related duties as assignedAdditional warehouse floor duties as assigned.Hiring Requirements/PreferencesHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentPursuing Accounting degree or Bachelors with work experience in the accounting field.Detail oriented.Time sensitive attention to monthly reporting.Experience necessary in SAP, Excel and basic accounting principlesExperience with scale operationsUnderstand financial forecastingProfessional Attitude & conductMulti-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.High degree of safety awareness and safety disciplineDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
