Civil/Concrete Estimator

Civil/Concrete EstimatorOur client is a fourth generation, self performing contractor with more than seventy years of experience delivering large scale environmental, municipal, institutional, and industrial projects. Known for their focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities, they complete more than one hundred fifty million dollars of environmental construction annually and perform roughly sixty percent of work with their own in house crews. With a strong footprint in Connecticut and rapid expansion into Massachusetts and Rhode Island, they are widely respected for their employee centric culture and long term stability. Prepare detailed estimates for water and wastewater treatment plants and environmental infrastructure. Review drawings, specifications, and technical requirements relating to concrete, civil, and structural scopes. Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and subcontractor evaluations. Collaborate with the Chief Estimator and project teams to develop accurate and competitive pricing. Utilize software tools including Procore and Primavera P6 to support estimating workflows. Participate in pre bid meetings, strategy sessions, and subcontractor outreach. Support the expansion of work in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Contribute to the company's continued growth in a specialized, highly technical market. A successful Civil/Concrete Estimator should have: Concrete experience is required Background in water/waste water or heavy civil, heavy utility, bridge work, or large scale site work Experience estimating environmental or infrastructure projects is highly valued Ability to perform detailed takeoffs, cost modeling, and scope reviews Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, technical environment Ability to commute to Torrington CT five days per week Salary up to $160K+ dependent on experience.
