Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Maintenance Welder/Mechanic is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager by completing repair to machinery, structures, and fixtures. This may include but is not limited to mechanical maintenance on any of the company's physical assets, installations, new equipment setups, and responding to emergenciesEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRegularly performs job duties including mechanical repair, light plumbing, and industrial plumbingWelding metals depending on client or employer requests.Being aware of the different methods of welding and choosing the best suited one for the job at hand.Examining the equipment after welding and repairing defects.Planning welding operations before beginning.Read blueprints and weld according to the plan.Enters data into a computer.Assists in installation of machineryRepairs machinery to ensure minimal down timeResponds to emergencies and call-insEmergency response to equipment break downsOther duties as assigned by maintenance managementAble to lift up to 50 poundsSafety orientedAble to work without direct supervisionRequirementsEducation – Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalent.Vocational course in welding is an advantage.Most Important Competencies RequiredAttention to Detail - must be able to follow written procedures and document work as neededExcellent manual dexterity - must be able to use tools to complete maintenance workResults Driven - must be able to complete maintenance tasks in timely manner, meeting the facility's needsTeamwork - must be willing and able to work closely with others in maintenanceQualificationsThe Maintenance Welder/Mechanic will be a skilled welder and mechanic with technical and physical capabilities. The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and genuine concern for safety of employees, structures, and products. Additionally, this role requires experience and judgment to do limited planning of tasks.The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job: lift up to 50 pounds, complete assisted lifts of 35-50 pounds, push or pull containers and equipment, repetitive bending and stooping, and may require occasional lifting overhead.The employee will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekTCI offers a competitive benefits package.Textiles Coated International is an equal opportunity employer.'Salary Description$25.00-$40.00 per hour dependent on experience
