Preschool Classroom Aide 1/2
**Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Classroom Aide to support the education and well-being of our students. As a Classroom Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment, working closely with teachers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners. **Responsibilities:** - Assist teachers with lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementation - Support the daily activities of the classroom, including transitions, snack time, and outdoor play - Monitor and manage student behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students - Provide individualized support to students, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic needs - Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure seamless communication and collaboration - Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons and activities - Participate in classroom clean-up and organization efforts - Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies for managing challenging behaviors - Demonstrate a strong commitment to literacy education and early childhood education principles - Foster a sense of community and inclusivity within the classroom **Qualifications:** - Experience working with preschool or early childhood students, preferably with autism or other special needs - Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices - Experience with curriculum development and implementation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage and redirect student behavior in a positive and constructive manner - Experience working with students who require additional support or accommodations - A commitment to working with students, teachers, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment - A passion for learning and a willingness to grow and develop professionally **Skills:** - Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices - Experience with curriculum development and implementation - Experience working with preschool or early childhood students - Ability to manage and redirect student behavior - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Experience working with students who require additional support or accommodations - Experience working with students with autism or other special needs - Experience working with students in a classroom setting - Strong literacy education skills - Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents
