Mechanical Engineer

Summary:The Lead HRSG Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical execution of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) projects from start to finish. This role serves as the primary technical contact for customers, ensuring that all project requirements are clearly understood and met. The engineer coordinates closely with internal engineering teams, procurement, construction partners, and project management to deliver high-quality solutions that comply with contract specifications.Key responsibilities include leading project kick-off and design meetings with customers and partners, reviewing and communicating contract requirements, and managing technical inquiries and change requests. The Lead Engineer evaluates the impact of project changes on cost and schedule, manages change orders, and works proactively to resolve technical challenges and cross-functional design issues. This role also involves managing project budgets, providing regular financial updates, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.The Lead HRSG Project Engineer supports manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure that equipment meets customer expectations and business objectives. The engineer presents project updates and risk mitigation plans to senior management, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.*No Steam/Gas turbine project experience is required for this role*Must Haves:Experience managing technical aspects of engineering projects\Strong communication skills for customer and internal team coordinationAbility to review contracts, manage change requests, and communicate requirements to engineering teamsExperience evaluating project changes for cost and schedule impact, and managing change ordersProven ability to resolve technical issues and coordinate cross-functional teamsExperience managing project budgets and schedulesBachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) Plusses:Customer-facing experience in a technical project environmentFamiliarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) softwareExperience with plant system design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, or testingDemonstrated creativity and problem-solving skillsExperience with process improvement initiativesCompensation:$40/hr to $57/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
