A leading organization in workforce operations and analytics.Job Title: Semiconductor Equipment TechnicianLocation: Santa Clara, CA Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (PST)Pay Rate: $27/hr to $29/hr on W2(Inclusive all)Employment Type: Contract (Long-term)Overtime: PossibleRole OverviewClient is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to support and maintain gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves working across multiple facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical equipment used in wafer fabrication.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across multiple buildingsPerform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and decommissioning of gas and chemical equipmentConduct preventative maintenance (PM) and ensure system reliabilityExecute cylinder and drum change-outs for gas and chemical systemsDiagnose and resolve complex equipment issues across various vendor systemsEnsure compliance with operating procedures, safety standards, and quality protocolsWrite, edit, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)Support emergency response activities related to gas/chemical systemsCollaborate with project teams on new installations and system upgradesMaintain a zero safety and quality incident cultureEquipment & Systems ExposureGas delivery systemsChemical delivery systems and slurry systems (Fuji systems)Semiconductor wafer fabrication support equipmentLarge-scale distribution systems (2000+ equipment units across multiple facilities)Required QualificationsHands-on experience with gas or chemical systems in wafer fabrication (semiconductor environment)Strong knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and maintenanceExperience with preventative maintenance and safety proceduresAbility to perform cylinder/drum change-outs safelyUnderstanding of emergency response protocolsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience working with semiconductor gas/chemical delivery systemsFamiliarity with quality management systems and SOP documentationAbility to train or mentor junior techniciansStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork EnvironmentFast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environmentWork across multiple buildings/sitesRequires adherence to strict safety protocolsHands-on role involving equipment handling and physical tasksCareer GrowthStructured On-the-Job Training (OJT) programDefined technician levels (1–5) with fast-track promotion opportunitiesLong-term career path in a growing semiconductor industryAbout Trident ConsultingTrident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
