Duties
Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing tailored care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings
Perform therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to reduce pain and enhance mobility
Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist
Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care environments
Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and injury prevention strategies
Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
Contribute to the creation of individualized care plans that address specific needs such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or acute care requirements
Requirements
Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current licensure or registration where applicable
Proven experience working in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles
Familiarity with Long Term Care Programs and decreasing likelihood of worsening conditions for our patients
Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams dedicated to patient recovery and well-being
Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals
