POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC

Air Reserve Technician Journeyman Mechanic The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) journeyman mechanic that troubleshoots, tests, repairs, modifies, overhauls, services, and dispatches powered ground support equipment and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTY 1: Performs preventive maintenance on ground power support systems. Checks equipment for fuel, lubricants, coolant, and battery water levels. DUTY 2: Performs major maintenance on ground support equipment such as power sources, major components, support components, and associated components. DUTY 3: Performs periodic routine and special inspections of all scheduled equipment. DUTY 4: Maintains records and documents actions. DUTY 5: Utilizes safety practices and procedures and complies with following established security and safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
