Job Summary Sun Tribe EPC ("Sun Tribe") is Virginia's premier utility-scale solar design and build firm, specializing in sub-20MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities. At Sun Tribe, we build with purpose—prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental stewardship in every project we deliver.The Construction Manager plans, directs, and oversees construction activities for assigned projects. As a critical part of the delivery team, the Construction Manager is fully accountable for construction outcomes of the project. They will develop construction execution strategies during preconstruction and will monitor, manage, and drive projects to remain on schedule and within budget, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and design standards and alignment with Sun Tribe's core values throughout the construction process.This position reports directly to the Regional Director, Construction Management, and works closely with other key staff including project management, project engineering, quality, EHS, clients, and subcontractors.Principal Responsibilities Serve as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for utility-scale solar construction projects, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Sun Tribe standards and regulatory requirementsCoordinate subcontractors, trades, inspectors, and field teams to achieve project milestones and quality expectationsMonitor daily construction progress, document work using Procore, and manage field reports, safety observations, and redlinesDrive site logistics including material receiving, equipment mobilization, infrastructure setup, and workforce coordinationLead jobsite meetings, workforce planning, and execution of punch list and closeout activitiesActively identify and resolve field issues, clarify scope through RFIs, and protect Sun Tribe's contractual and operational interestsSupport change order tracking, environmental compliance, and documentation required for project and owner reportingBasic Qualifications Required Education required: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related technical field preferredA minimum of two (2) years of construction, project management, or related experience requiredDemonstrated ability to lead field teams, subcontractors, and trades in a fast-paced construction environmentCurrent, valid driver's license and eligibility for corporate vehicle insurance coverageSkills & Experience Preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple projects and deadlinesProficiency in Procore or similar construction management softwareSelf-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement, both individually and as part of a teamFamiliarity with MS Project or similar scheduling softwareCollaborative mindset with the ability to work well on teams; leadership and delegation skills a plusAlignment with Sun Tribe's core values: Community, Safety, Perpetual Improvement, Nature, Joy, and RespectCommitment to Sun Tribe's culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements Some evening and weekend work is requiredWillingness to travel and work at project sites throughout Virginia and neighboring states as requiredStandard work hours may be changed based on emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsiteRequires approximately 10% office work and 90% field work.
