An organization that started in 1983 as a grassroots service for people with HIV/AIDS has grown into a trusted provider of LGBTQIA+ services in a safe, affirming environment.Reports to: Prevention Services ManagerPosition Overview: The PrEP Navigator & Testing Coordinator will provide HIV & STD prevention services & education, including HIV Testing, PrEP, & linkage to treatment, among LGBTQ+ individuals at various locations throughout Dallas County & surrounding.Job Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct HIV, syphilis & STI testing & prevention activities focused on gay, bisexual, transgender, gender-non confirming & men who have sex with men (MSM)Educate MSM & other community members about HIV/STI preventionRecruit at-risk, young adult MSM for FTN/FCT & screen testingPerform initial & follow-up sessions per FTN/FCT guidelines for persons testing for HIVMaintain a positive rapport with community businesses, organizations & agenciesAssist in implementing community assessment for FTN/FCTFollow agency & program procedures/policies, including safety regulations & guidelinesWork with Dallas County Health & Human Services on information regarding partner notification, contact tracing & partner elicitation, as requestedMaintain FTN/FCT HIV/STD/syphilis testing client filesCoordinate outreach, including recruiting & utilizing volunteers, at authorized venues to conduct testing &/or referrals to testing & HIV linkage to treatment servicesEnsure program goals & objectives are met, & report program process objectivesAttend department and agency meetings & local and statewide conferencesPromote PrEP and help coordinate FTN/FCT and HIV/syphilis/STD testing activitiesPerform HIV/syphilis/STD tests via venipuncture or other methods per set guidelinesMonitor medical supply, orders & maintenance, including biohazard waste disposalPerform duties in conjunction with the Transhealth Initiative, as neededPerform duties in accordance with OSHA safety, clinic protocols & HIPAA complianceParticipate in condom distribution and Condom Education and Outreach initiativeParticipates in the programs Client Services Navigation System to establish linkage to HIV-related medical care for people who are infected with HIV Work with adult programs to help coordinate outreach for corresponding communitiesMay be required to drive personal car or Sexy Health Mobile Unit to businesses & events Perform administrative and other dutiesJob Requirements & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferredBilingual Spanish preferredDetail oriented with the Ability to handle a moderate to heavy workload and lift 25-50lbsAbility to work flexible hours (some late nights and weekends required)Must have access to reliable transportation (Mileage reimbursed)Proficient experience with Microsoft computer applications is requiredQualification & experience in Foundations of Testing and Navigation (FCT) or Protocol-Based Counseling and Testing (PBC) is preferred but will train the right candidatePowered by JazzHRUecMvbKGnL
