Medical Assistant

Job Description MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS MD MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE as an MA. We are seeking a highly motivated, self starter to fill a Medical Assistant position. Small but busy practice with one physician and two nurse practitioners, independently owned, yearly uniform allowance, paid vacation, Friday afternoons off, 401K, health insurance. This position does not require performing phlebotomy or EKGs but must be able to give IM injections. Must be prompt, have an exceptional attendance record, be able to administer injections, be a team player, have an enthusiastic attitude and compassion for those in medical need. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS PHYSICIAN (MD) OFFICE MEDICAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE. Must be detail oriented, self motivated, highly organized. No externs please.Responsibilities:Handle administrative duties in a timely manner and be organizedPerform routine clinical tasks to support medical providersBe able to communicate with patients and referral sourcesPre-certify and schedule proceduresEscort patients to exam rooms, triage, medication reconciliation, update clinical history.Administer InjectionsProcedures require prep of procedure trays​Qualifications:Previous experience in healthcare (NOT Dentistry, Optometry, Veterinary, Dermatology, Retail)Familiarity with medical billing procedures, clinical vocabularyStrong organizational skills and memory recall.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust be a team player, independent thinking skills, self-motivational and positive happy demeanor.Company DescriptionSmall private practice with competitive benefits and great staff.Company DescriptionSmall private practice with competitive benefits and great staff.
