Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Support patient safety by observing for signs of deterioration or infectious disease symptoms and reporting promptly to nursing staff. Engage with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care. Prior experience with critical care areas such as ICU or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team dedicated to patient-centered service. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are advantageous.
