Bilingual Customer Service Representative

MetroConnects (Metro) is a special-purpose district governed by a seven-member Commission that operates and maintains approximately 1,600 miles of sanitary sewer mains within Greenville County in South Carolina. Metro is seeking a successful, customer-focused candidate to join our team as a full-time bilingual (Spanish/English) Customer Service Representative.This position, under direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager, performs a variety of clerical and financial-related duties, and professionally interacts with customers on a variety of issues.ResponsibilitiesGreets visitors and guests.Answers telephone, screens, and forwards calls to the appropriate departments.Communicates professionally and effectively with individuals and groups such as customers, managers, local agencies, other departmental personnel, local builders and developers, etc.Performs general administrative/clerical work as required, including but not limited to typing forms, records, and reports; data entry; copying and filing documents; communicating with field personnel; compiling information for specific work orders/projects as requested, faxing/mailing information, etc.Processes various customer transactions, issues sewer permits, and collects fees.Utilize the Internet and other search programs to obtain information related to customer issues and needs.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or associate’s degree and two years of customer service experience.Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish.Ability to follow oral and written directions and strong organizational skills.CompensationSalary is negotiable based on experience. Metro offers a competitive benefits package, including South Carolina Retirement and comprehensive health insurance. No relocation assistance is provided. A background check and drug screening are a condition of employment. Metro also conducts random drug screening during employment.SubmittalsResumes may be attached to the online application at https://metroconnects.org/job_listings/.For additional information, contact Human Resources at 864-277-4442 or email careers@metroconnects.org.Metro is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
