Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance SupervisorFull-timePlainfield, INCompensation DOE: up to $110,000Schedule: Third ShiftOur client in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure production equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this role, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manages preventive maintenance programs, supports root cause analysis for equipment failures, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Essential Functions:Directs maintenance activities for injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment.Leads the maintenance department, including reviewing and approving preventive maintenance documentation.Schedules, coordinates, and manages all preventive maintenance tasks.Builds and develops a high-performing mechanical and preventive maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment performance, high line efficiency, and proper parts inventory management.Oversees external contractors performing facility installations and project work.Collaborates with internal departments to support production needs and meet customer deadlines.Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates employees; partners with HR on discipline, terminations, and staffing needs.Provides oversight for safety initiatives and enforces all safety standards and requirements.Fosters a positive and productive work environment.Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, equipment performance, and product quality.Identifies opportunities to improve working conditions and equipment usage to increase operational efficiency.Troubleshoots and assists staff in resolving work-related issues.Maintains accurate time, maintenance, and equipment records.Develops capital expenditure proposals for new equipment and technology to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve cycle times.Estimates, requests, and inspects materials as needed.Ensures a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
