Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.Job ResponsibilitiesScope of PositionResponsible for leading daily assembly production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and organized workflows while driving accountability, quality standards, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership on the production floor, support operator development, and work closely with Team Leads and cross-functional departments to achieve production and customer requirements.Minimum Qualifications3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)Strong understanding of assembly operations and production flowAbility to coach, lead, and motivate hourly production teamsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of 5S, TPM, standardized work, and lean manufacturing principlesComfortable using production systems, reports, and basic computer applicationsStrong communication and organizational skillsFlexible schedule with the ability to support overtime, weekends, and off-shifts as neededKey ResponsibilitiesLead daily assembly production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achievedConduct attendance reviews at the start of each shift and make proactive staffing adjustments to support production requirementsReallocate team members based on skill proficiency to support production demands and training initiativesCollaborate closely with Team Leads to ensure alignment on production goals, shift responsibilities, and team coordinationSupport Team Leads in identifying and eliminating bottlenecks while maintaining consistent material flow through communication with material handlers and support departmentsMaintain active leadership presence on the production floor throughout the shift to support operations, employees, and issue resolutionEnsure proper execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities including equipment cleaning, RTV nozzle replacement, inspections, and required documentationHold team members accountable for scrap review, teardown activities, standardized work, attendance, and workplace expectationsMaintain accurate shift rosters including employee assignments, training status, and skill matricesDevelop and support structured operator growth, cross-training, and progression plansFacilitate rotation of qualified operators to promote flexibility, skill development, and operational coverageEnsure strict adherence to scheduled break coverage while maintaining production efficiencyCollaborate with preceding and succeeding shifts to address staffing gaps, operational concerns, and training opportunitiesEnforce 5S workplace organization standards to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production environmentCommunicate clearly and consistently with operators regarding training expectations, production goals, operational rotations, and performance expectationsVerify all material replenishment requirements are completed prior to shift handoff to support seamless production transitionsPromote and enforce compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, and employee engagementParticipate in problem-solving activities and support corrective actions related to production, quality, staffing, or equipment concernsOther duties as assigned.Awareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
