As a Material Handler I, you play a key role in ensuring efficient material flow throughout the facility. This role requires forklift proficiency, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Core Responsibilities: Safely operate a forklift and maintain Lexington Manufacturing forklift certification Load and unload trucks, deliver materials to production areas, and stack inventory Enter all material movement transactions accurately into the ERP system Assist with cycle counts and inventory activities Identify, locate, and move materials with efficiency Perform daily forklift checklist inspections Adhere to all company processes, including safety rules, quality procedures, documentation requirements, and work instructions Provide feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned This position reports directly to the designated Production or Materials Supervisor. Work Style: On-site, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Requirements: Must Have: High school diploma or equivalent Material handling experience Forklift operation proficiency Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, and technical documents Dependable attendance and punctuality Preferred: Manufacturing experience Basic computer literacy Strong written and verbal communication skills Physical & Mental Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods Frequent climbing in and out of a forklift Lifting various weights throughout the shift Regular bending and physical activity Working Environment: Exposure to varying temperatures Loud manufacturing environment Paint, stain, solvent, and chemical odors may be present May handle or store hazardous materials including paint, stains, lubricants, solvents, and cleaners If you are eager to join a company that values its employees, provides opportunities for growth, and contributes to making a difference in the world, apply now to be part of our dedicated team.
