Healthcare Support is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Cincinnati, Ohio.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Mammography TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelPosition OverviewPosition: Mammography TechnologistDuration: 13-Week AssignmentLocal Candidates: Accepted (60/hr local rate)Key ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work independently on screening and diagnostic mammogramsKnowledge of Quality Control (QC) proceduresStereotactic biopsy experience preferredRotation on mobile vans requiredProduces high quality breast imaging procedures following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelinesPerforms all screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA scans according to established protocolsRequired Certifications & LicensesARRT license for RT (Radiologic Technologist) and M (Mammography)ODH LicenseBLS/ACLS CertificationSchedule DetailsShifts:8-Hour Shifts:6:30 AM - 3:00 PM7:00 AM - 3:30 PM7:30 AM - 4:00 PMMobile van hours can vary (9-10 hours, 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM)No on-call requiredFloating:Women's center and mobile unit (once or twice a week)Unit DetailsEquipment:2 Hologic 3D units1 GE Pristina 3D unitHologic 3D Unit on Mobile VanPatient Volume:40-50 patients per dayEssential Job FunctionsPerforms all breast imaging and DEXA proceduresAssists radiologist in invasive breast procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and obtaining consentCorrelates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring documentation is available for licensed providerConveys patient's clinical history to licensed provider prior to examinationSelects and operates breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired resultsSelects appropriate radiographic technique exposure factors to produce quality diagnostic imagesApplies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and othersApplies principles of patient safety during all aspects of mammographic proceduresProvides patient education and discharge instructionsParticipates in department's quality assessments and improvement plansQualificationsEducation:Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)Experience:1+ years experience as a registered mammography technologistCertifications Required:ARRT Certification: Certification and Registration in MammographyBLS: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)Primary FunctionThe Registered Mammography Technologist produces high quality breast imaging procedures while following guidelines established by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist), ACR (American College of Radiology) and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act and Program).#504152About Healthcare SupportHealthcare Support excels at providing a streamlined and red-carpet experience for our travelers.
