Drainage Engineer - EI

In addition to being an effective communicator and driven to meet schedule deadlines, the successful candidate will be open to learning about and performing all aspects of drainage design and plans production.ResponsibilitiesHydrologic and hydraulic analysis of conveyance systemsAnalysis and design of cross drainsDesign of stormwater management facilitiesFloodplain compensation analysisDesign and inspection of best management practices for erosion and sediment controlPrepare technical documents including drainage reports, pond siting reports, and permitting documentsPrepare construction plans consistent with FDOT standardsStormwater permitting with various statewide agenciesCoordination with other disciplines and meetings with clientsQualifications:BS in Civil Engineering0 -4 years of experience in highway drainage design and plans productionRegistered EIKnowledge of FDOT design standards and criteria related to both drainage design and plans production; able to interpret and apply technical information contained in procedures and manuals to accomplish the design process for assigned projectsAbility to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team to meet challenging design and schedule requirementsStrong technical writing and communication skillsKnowledge of MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, ICPR, PONDS ASAD softwareKnowledge of ERP permitting requirements with water management districts throughout the state a plusBridge hydraulics and scour analyses experience are a plusIf you meet these qualifications, apply now or reach out to nsmith@aectac.com.
