This is a high-visibility role supporting a portfolio of commercial and investment properties with direct exposure to ownership and day-to-day property operations.The company is looking for someone who can truly hit the ground running within real estate/property accounting and take ownership of the financials across multiple entities and properties. While the title can flex depending on experience, they are ideally seeking someone beyond true staff-level accounting who understands the pace and complexity of property accounting environments.Why join us? The ideal candidate will have prior real estate/property accounting experience and be comfortable managing multiple properties while maintaining accurate reporting and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle AP/AR operations across multiple properties Manage tenant billings and tenant ledger reconciliations Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations Handle CAM reconciliations and Triple Net charge reconciliations Assist with annual operating budgets, cash flow monitoring, and owner distributions Maintain accurate general ledger activity and proper account coding Coordinate year-end reporting and work alongside external tax accountants Partner closely with property management and ownership on financial reporting and operational support Qualifications 2+ years of real estate/property accounting experience required Experience with commercial property accounting, tenant ledgers, CAM reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Experience with Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar property accounting software strongly preferred Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Ability to work independently and thrive in a hands-on environmentInterested in hearing more?
