JV Girls Volleyball Coach Fall 2026

Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy - Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic High School JV Volleyball Coach to help build up our program by maximizing potential and empowering confidence within our student-athletes. Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy, a Prekindergarten – Grade 12 independent school, is a vibrant and dynamic environment in which to work located in Stamford, CT. The High School JV Volleyball Coach will work with the Athletic Director to help develop our student-athletes and develop the overall skill of our volleyball program.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Minimum 2 practices a week during the Fall season, 8 - 10 gamesIn charge of running JV practices/ training sessionsCoordinate with athletic director on overall improvement of the high school programTeach volleyball techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tacticsCondition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agilityTeach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's teamCommunicate openly with parents of playersHelp as needed with equipment managementAssist in setting up/taking down the gym for home matchesBuild strong, lasting relationships with athletes, inspiring them to hold themselves to a high standard of academics and characterUphold and model the core values of the athletic department: Commitment, Pride,Sacrifice, Work Ethic, and RespectDemonstrate good sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct towards thestudent-athletes, opposing team, officials, spectators, etc.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Previous head coaching experience at the high school levelA sound knowledge in volleyball techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics. Ability to teach the fundamentals, passing, hitting, serving and etcAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate flexibility, and work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals.A leader with extraordinarily high expectations of her/himself and the ability to inspire and motivate others.A genuine care for working with kids and motivating themReports To: Athletic DirectorCompensation: Stipend PositionFall 2026 Season, end of August to end of October
