This role will be required to utilize computer hardware/software and digital tools to interface with vehicle ECUs. General understanding of vehicle electronics communication protocols is preferred. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD such as AutoCad, Inventor, Catia, and XVL is required to perform new model investigations.What You’ll Be Doing(20%) Project Planning Support for upcoming model changes(40%) Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicle electrical control systems(40%) FEA, Investigations, Equipment Bid Specifications, and Installation\Modifications for Vehicle Performance equipmentClose collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisionsRequirements: What You BringBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering with an Electrical and Computer Engineering EmphasisStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Autocad, and Catia / XVL / InventorProficient in interpreting technical standards related to vehicle calibration and communicationsProficient in computer hardware\software interfacing both hardwired wired and wireless to communicate to vehicle ECUsProficient in developing detail specifications to meet technical standard tolerances for vehicle calibration for functions such as headlamp aim and radar cruise controlProficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)Ability to travel up to 20% to all NAM’s as well as Japan as needed.This position requires driving.
