The successful candidate will be a distinguished and visionary physician executive with a proven track record of exceptional leadership in orthopedics. This inaugural role is pivotal in shaping the long-term vision of the Institute and establishing it as a premier destination for orthopedic and sports medicine care. The President will be responsible for leading a world-class team that includes adult and pediatric orthopedics, primary care sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation, and will be supported by a large network of master clinicians, residents, fellows, and support staff. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader, adept at aligning, managing, and developing a comprehensive vision for the Institute, and will have a deep understanding of complex multi-facility health systems.Candidates for the President position must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree, be board certified in orthopedic surgery, and be eligible for academic appointment at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. The role demands a leader with a strong background in leading accomplished orthopedic programs and a commitment to the values of the organization, which include inspiring health, serving with compassion, and making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
