Inframark is hiring a Crew Leader to join our team responsible for the operations and maintenance of the sewer infrastructure in the city. You will operate heavy equipment in projects involving water, sewer, and storm drainpipes. We will ask you to work with hands on installations as well as repair and maintenance of the systems. You will use our work order process and help ensure that the Inframark Corporate Safety culture and policies are implemented. RESPONSIBILITESPlan and organize activities for area of responsibility; prioritize, schedule and assign tasks, ensuring compliance with departmental safety standards; assist with completion of departmental tasks as needed. Assist in maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as lubricating, adjusting tracks on excavator or bulldozer, replacing light bulbs, hydraulic hoses or relief valves, adjusting fan blades, flushing radiators, or replacing fuses; performs welding as needed. Supervise and performs grading in the construction and/or resurfacing of roads; utilizes levels to check grades and ensure compliance with specifications. Oversee and assist with miscellaneous projects as directed, such as buried infrastructure repair/replacement, masonry work, landscaping, line location, patching roads, digging graves, clearing debris, constructing building pads, maintaining right-of-ways, or building and maintaining drains and boxes. Perform inspections of collection and distribution systems for compliance with regulatory guidelines, and the City/County guidelines and regulations; furnish sewer and water connection status information. Operate dump trucks, front-end loaders and ten wheel trucks to perform required hauling and unloading of equipment and material, as necessary Operate vacuum trucks to excavate or clear blocked lines Attend safety classes, reinforce and comply with company safety policies QUALIFICATIONSPrefer four years of progressively responsible work experience in sewer and water construction and maintenance, equipment operations or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, high school diploma or GED is required. Must have a valid state driver's license, CDL preferred, and meet minimum driving standards. Knowledge ofConstruction and operation of collection/distribution systems. Various types of pipe and pipe fitting techniques. Equipment used in repair and installation of the sewer and water systems. Maintenance and upkeep of all equipment. Of safety practices, procedures and equipment used Skill inReading diagrams and schematics. The operation of motor vehicles and equipment with specialized controls under all types of weather conditions to include back-hoe, laser, transit, quick cut saw, tapping machine, hand tools, cleaning equipment, painting equipment, lawn equipment, front end loader, dump truck, power saw and jackhammer. Ability toUnderstand and follow oral and written instructions. Work emergency duty during non-scheduled work hours Physical requirements: This position requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending and climbing. The employee must be able to use hands to operate and manipulate tools and equipment. This position requires very heavy physical exertion including the ability to lift over 50 pounds and exert over 100 pounds of force on a regular basis. The employee must be willing to work non-standard and overtime hours as required. The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, and depth perception.
