Onward and Upward!!!Job SummaryThis role is responsible for developing and maintaining advanced CCL scripts, custom mPages, data extracts, reports, and integrations that support clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, analytics, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Cerner Millennium architecture, the Discern framework, and healthcare data standards, along with a strong understanding of clinical operations and EHR workflows. Working closely with clinicians, SMEs, and technical teams, this individual will translate business and clinical requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring system performance, reliability, and data integrity across implementations, upgrades, and migration initiatives.Job Roles And Responsibilities CCL Development & Optimization: Design, code, test, and debug complex CCL scripts (Cerner Command Language) to extract data from Millennium Oracle schemas. Data Extraction & Reporting: Create and modify advanced reports and data feeds for workflow integration, regulatory compliance, and analytics. System Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in CCL scripts, batch jobs, and database queries in production environments. EHR Implementation & Migration: Support EHR implementations, upgrades, and data migrations.mPage Development: Develop and maintain custom mPages and mPage components to improve clinician workflows within Millennium. Requirement translation: Collaborate with clinicians, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and engineers to translate functional requests into technical specifications. Communication: Provide guidance and education, clearly describing complex concepts and workflows. Information must be conveyed in both technical and non-technical terminology, to both entry-level personnel and senior leaders.Job ScopeSenior Consultant works under minimal direction and uses independent judgment to identify issues, trends & problems and recommend action plans and evaluate results on initiatives that may not be clearly defined and are large in scope. Senior Consultant has increased responsibility, leadership, and strategic influence expected at the senior level.,JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, And Training) Minimum Bachelor's Degree, or 7 equivalent years of related experience. 7+ years of experience with Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) EHR applications, with a strong track record of delivering successful products. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present ideas clearly and respond to inquiries effectively. Knowledge of Healthcare industry and understanding all major workflows associated with specific Oracle Health EHR solutions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple teams or departments. Skilled in building positive working relationships across various levels and functions. Effective at fostering trust and rapport with both internal and external stakeholders. Dedicated to delivering high-quality service and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Strategic thinker who understands broader business goals and takes initiative to drive value. Ability to use software, hardware, and peripherals related to job responsibilities, including MS Office Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Expert-level knowledge of Cerner Command Language (CCL) and SQL. Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Millennium architecture and database schema. Extensive experience with Discern Expert rules, mPages, mPage components, Discern Analytics 2 (DA2), PowerInsight Explorer, Business Objects (BO), and Operations Jobs. Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, terminologies (SNOMED, CPT, LOIC, Rx Norm, etc.), and data structures (HL7, FHIR, UCDI, etc.).Preferred Skills Strong understanding of automation technologies, tools, programming languages (such as SQL, Python, Java, etc.) and databases Experience with analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Business Objects).CompensationThe salary range for this position is $130-150K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.
