The team is pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and deeply engaged in strategic decision-making, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships across the organization.About The RoleCoreWeave is seeking a Senior Managing Associate General Counsel, Real Estate Development, to lead legal and strategic support for CoreWeave’s self-development data center initiatives across North America. This is a leadership role responsible for driving complex “dirt-to-data-center” development projects, including land acquisition, entitlements, permitting, construction, development, deal structuring, financing, and government stakeholder engagement.This individual will serve as a key partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including Development, Design, Construction, Power, Finance, Operations, and Government Affairs, to structure and execute large-scale infrastructure projects in a rapidly scaling environment. The day-to-day includes advising on commercial real estate transactions, construction and development agreements, permitting and entitlement matters, financing structures, and regulatory risk management. You will also play a key role in supporting relationships with developers, contractors, architects, consultants, government entities, and external counsel.In This Role, You WillProvide legal and strategic guidance across all phases of large-scale data center development projects, from site selection and land acquisition through construction and operational deliveryDraft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial real estate and construction-related agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, construction management agreements, and design and engineering agreementsPartner closely with Development, Construction, Design, Operations, Power, Finance, and Government Affairs teams to support project execution and infrastructure growth initiativesAdvise on zoning, entitlement, permitting, environmental review, and other regulatory matters impacting infrastructure development projectsSupport transaction structuring and execution across complex real estate, development, and infrastructure mattersManage relationships with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, government entities, and external counselTranslate complex legal and business issues into practical, actionable guidance for cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadershipDevelop scalable legal processes and frameworks to support CoreWeave’s continued growth and expanding infrastructure footprintWho You AreJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction12+ years of relevant legal experience supporting complex commercial real estate development, construction, real estate structuring (JV’s), and related financing mattersSignificant experience leading large-scale ground-up development projects from land acquisition through operational deliveryDemonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:Purchase and sale agreementsDevelopment agreementsConstruction management agreementsGeneral contractor and subcontractor agreementsDesign and engineering agreementsExperience partnering directly with architects, engineers, general contractors, developers, and government entitiesExperience managing site due diligence, permitting, and regulatory compliance mattersDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving legal, development, construction, and operational stakeholdersStrong judgment, communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentExecutive presence and experience advising senior leadership on strategic infrastructure and regulatory mattersProven ability to manage outside counsel and external consultants while balancing legal risk and business prioritiesPreferredExperience supporting data center, digital infrastructure, or large-scale energy development projectsIn-house legal experience at a technology, infrastructure, or hyperscale organizationPolicy or government affairs initiatives related to infrastructure expansionExperience building scalable legal and operational processes for rapidly growing organizationsWondering if you’re a good fit?We believe in investing in our people and value candidates who bring diverse experiences and perspectives to our teams — even if you don’t meet every qualification listed above. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.
