This role involves performing vehicle inspections, conducting road tests, and ensuring timely delivery and pickup of trucks before and after service or sale. The driver plays a key role in supporting dealership operations by maintaining vehicle condition, adhering to safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.Minimum Qualifications:Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License), Class A or B, with a school bus endorsement, and a clean driving record.High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of commercial driving experience, preferably with heavy-duty trucksKnowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standardsAbility to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsGood physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle vehicle loading/unloading as neededStrong communication and customer service skillsReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyFamiliarity with local and regional routes and safe driving practicesEssential Job Functions:Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport vehicles, parts, and equipment between dealership locations and customer sitesPerform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readinessConduct road tests on trucks before and after repairs or sales to verify performance and conditionLoad, secure, and unload cargo or vehicles following safety protocolsMaintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, vehicle condition, and inspectionsCommunicate effectively with service, parts, sales departments, and customers during pickups and deliveriesAdhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations and dealership safety policiesReport any vehicle defects, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to managementAssist with general dealership duties such as vehicle cleaning, lot organization, or equipment maintenance as neededIf you are ready to drive your career forward with a company that values safety and excellence, apply today to join the North Central International team!
