Your key responsibilities will include:Performing scrub duties, including selecting and managing instruments and supplies for procedures.Carrying out circulating functions, which involve monitoring and documenting patient conditions, as well as overseeing nursing care before, during, and after procedures.Assisting the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, and patient positioning.Preparing operating rooms and ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are ready for use.Applying evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge to nursing care, tailored to the specific needs of patients based on age and clinical requirements.Upholding professional nursing standards as outlined in our practice model and adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.Maintaining a vigilant and safe working environment.Completing additional tasks as assigned.QualificationsEducation: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing.Experience: No prior experience is necessary.Physical RequirementsRegular verbal communication is essential.Constant standing and walking are required.Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.Regular use of smell for odor recognition.Frequent auditory skills to receive communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs and moving patients.Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical movements.Rarely involves crawling or running.Licenses and CertificationsMust hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or from a Compact State.Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.Work ScheduleShift: Day ShiftWeekly Hours: 36Benefits and OpportunitiesWe value our outstanding employees and provide a comprehensive benefits package tailored to meet diverse needs:Paid Parental Leave: Eligible team members receive one week of paid leave for newborns or newly adopted children (pro-rated based on FTE).Flexible Payment Options: Our voluntary benefit through DailyPay allows eligible hourly employees to access earned wages before payday (fees may apply).Upfront Tuition Coverage: Eligible team members can benefit from upfront tuition coverage through the FlexPath Fund.Our organization is an equal opportunity employer.
