Claims Oversight Manager - Property & Casualty Insurance Industry NYC Office Hybrid About the Role The perfect candidate will take charge of overseeing and managing claims related to a construction program. A deep understanding of New York City Labor Law is essential, accompanied by substantial experience in dealing with construction claims. It is crucial to have the capability to effectively coordinate with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and legal defense teams. Responsibilities Managing, analyzing, and reviewing all claims within our claims system. Directing and advising our Third-Party Administrator to ensure the implementation of best practices in claims handling. Working closely with the Head of Claims to guarantee that all client claims are processed efficiently and correctly. Engaging directly with TPAs and defense attorneys while fostering strong and professional relationships. Coordinating with defense panels on all ongoing claims and ensuring prompt communication and updates. Monitoring the activities of the TPA to confirm adherence to established policies, procedures, and performance standards. Overseeing and assisting with all tasks related to claims, ensuring they are accurate, efficient, and in line with program requirements. Qualifications Over five years of experience in managing construction claims. A strong grasp of NYC Labor Law, especially as it pertains to construction issues. Required Skills Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent writing and speaking skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking capabilities. A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with internal teams and management.
