In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Drupal 10+ applications that support high-visibility digital services. As part of a collaborative team of backend developers, you will help build and enhance a large-scale Drupal platform, migrate content and functionality from an existing website, and implement secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions using modern Drupal development practices. You will work closely with front-end developers, UX designers, communications specialists, project managers, and content managers to deliver high-quality digital experiences. You will also participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with developers supporting related web applications built on Django/Python. *Job Description* * Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise websites using *Drupal 10/11* and modern PHP development practices. * Design and build custom Drupal modules, services, plugins, APIs, and integrations following Drupal coding standards and object-oriented programming principles. * Support the migration of content, taxonomy, media assets, users, and site functionality from legacy Drupal platforms using Drupal Migrate API and related migration tools. * Configure and maintain Drupal content architecture, workflows, permissions, media management, Layout Builder, Paragraphs, and editorial tools. * Develop integrations with REST APIs, JSON services, authentication providers, enterprise systems, and third-party applications. * Optimize application performance, caching, search indexing, and database efficiency using Drupal best practices. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high standards for code quality, security, maintainability, and performance across Drupal and related web applications. * Collaborate with developers supporting Django/Python applications by participating in peer code reviews and sharing development best practices. * Troubleshoot application issues, implement enhancements, and support production deployments. * Ensure all development complies with *Section 508*, *WCAG 2.2 AA*, *OWASP security principles*, and federal web development standards. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, testing, and technical documentation. *Preferred Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field. * *7+ years* of professional Drupal development experience, including experience developing Drupal 10+ applications. * Experience migrating enterprise Drupal websites using Drupal Migrate API. * Experience developing custom modules, APIs, and integrations within enterprise Drupal environments. * Experience working on Agile software development teams using Git-based workflows. * Familiarity with Python/Django applications sufficient to participate in peer code reviews. * Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar to improve development productivity while maintaining secure coding standards. * *Top Secret Clearance required.* If selected, employment will be subject to an FBI background investigation. *Preferred Certifications* * *Acquia Certified Back End Specialist (Drupal 10/11)* or equivalent Drupal certification. * Azure Developer Associate or AWS Developer certification (preferred) Pay: $160,000.00 - $219,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Paid time off Application Question(s): * Are you a US Citizen?
