Senior Java Software Engineer

Senior Java Engineer Location: Boston, MA (4 days onsite per week)Pay: $80-85/hrUS Citizens/GC Holders OnlyCandidates must be local to Boston AreaResponsibilities:Design, implement, deploy, and support IBOR platform componentsBuild scalable, high-performance backend services using Java, Spring, and SpringBootWork with BAs and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions; Work with PMs, Tech Leads, and QA on estimates, delivery, and risk managementAlign solutions with enterprise architecture and engineering standardsUse AI tools to accelerate development and improve qualityApply AI across the SDLC: Code generation, refactoring, and optimization / Test development and automation / Debugging and production issue resolution / Documentation and knowledge captureIdentify opportunities to improve productivity through AI-assisted workflowsQualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field6–10+ years of experience in Java-based systems development (Java 11+; current stack Java 21); Good understanding of Core Java APIsUnderstanding of concurrency, multi-threading, and high-performance systemsExperience with Spring, SpringBoot and building REST APIsHands-on experience using GenAI toolsAbility to use AI tools effectively for coding, debugging, and problem-solvingExposure to AI-driven / agentic workflowsStrong problem-solving skills, including breaking down work into AI-augmentable tasksExposure to WebSockets and performance testing is a plus
