Project ControlsWe are seeking a Project Controls professional to support large-scale infrastructure and construction projects by providing financial oversight, cost control, scheduling support, forecasting, and performance reporting throughout the project life cycle.This position partners closely with Project Managers, Operations, Finance, Estimating, and Scheduling teams to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule while providing accurate reporting and meaningful project insights.The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, and enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment where financial performance and operational execution are closely connected.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and monitor project budgets throughout the construction life cycle.Track project costs, production, and financial performance against approved budgets.Monitor daily project expenditures, including labor, equipment, materials, fuel, accommodations, maintenance, and other operational costs.Analyze cost and schedule variances and identify risks impacting project performance.Work with Project Managers and Scheduling teams to update forecasts and project plans as required.Prepare regular project reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for operational leadership.Support forecasting, cost trending, budgeting, and financial planning activities.Develop and maintain reporting tools using Microsoft Excel and project controls software.Collaborate with Finance, Estimating, Scheduling, and Operations teams to improve reporting accuracy and project execution.Identify opportunities to improve project controls processes and reporting efficiency.Project EnvironmentProjects may include a variety of large-scale infrastructure and industrial construction initiatives such as:Utility infrastructurePipeline constructionIndustrial facilitiesEPC projectsData center developmentsEnergy transmission and distribution projectsHeavy civil constructionAssignments may support multiple active projects across various geographic regions, with travel required based on project needs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience supporting project controls, cost control, financial analysis, project accounting, scheduling, or construction project management.Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial reporting.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, dashboard development, and complex data analysis.Experience with project controls, scheduling, ERP, or project management software.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, if travel is required.Preferred QualificationsExperience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, industrial, EPC, or energy-related industries.Knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and cost reporting systems.Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with project forecasting, earned value concepts, and performance measurement techniques.Core CompetenciesFinancial and commercial analysisCritical thinking and problem-solvingCost management and forecastingPlanning and organizationCommunication and collaborationAttention to detailAccountabilityAdaptabilityContinuous improvementWork EnvironmentProject-based work on active project locations on a rotational schedule.Ability to work in both office and construction environments.What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate enjoys analyzing financial and operational data, solving problems, and helping project teams make informed decisions.
