OverviewData Center Lead (Linux)Hybrid | Washington D.C. | 2-3 Days a Week OnsiteUS Citizenship - Clearable; Ability to obtain a Public TrustEmployment Options: 1099 Contract (No Third Parties) or Direct Hire AvailableProject Duration: 5+ Years - Please note that this position is for a contingent proposal awardResponsibilitiesAt Precision Solutions, we are seeking a highly experienced Data Center Lead who is focused in Linux to manage the design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and software. This individual will lead a team in ensuring the smooth operation of the data center infrastructure, particularly focused on Linux systems, and will provide critical support for DR exercises and FISMA audits. Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of data center hardware and software systems Manage and monitor Linux Red Hat patching, satellite, and Ansible systems Troubleshoot and resolve data center hardware and software issues Provide key support for Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and FISMA audits Requirements 15+ years of experience in data center management and Linux system administration Strong practical skills and experience in data center design, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and software including but not limited to: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux Red Hat systems, satellite, and Ansible automation Proven ability to support DR exercises and FISMA audits Preferred Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a relevant field is preferred Education/Certification Requirements All of the following certifications are required: ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification MCA Microsoft Azure Admin Certification Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Red Hat Certified Engineer RHCE Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite Administration (to be obtained within 6 months of onboarding) Clearance Requirements Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Applicants must be able to pass an enhanced background check.
