Job DescriptionDesign logical Data Warehouse architecture and data model, implement physical Data Warehouse design (schema, indexes, partitions, etc.) Design solutions for a high scale platform processing of large amounts of data Assess and research current implementations of the platform and determine the course of action required to enhance the platform Develop new Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL database modules and code to support expansion of current oracle solution for business expansion. Work towards expanding our current data marts to enable data mining in broader across all our databases. Strong commitment to quality, documentation and engineering excellence Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and adaptability Experience in reverse engineering and understanding existing applications Agile methodologies or iterative development processes QualificationsTechnology experience 5+ years of experience in systems development, including Data Warehouse development 5+ Years of Oracle in Unix/Linux environment Solid understanding of data warehousing architecture High proficiency in designing and writing queries, stored procedures, packages and functions in Oracle 11g or 12c Strong hands-on experience of scripting languages (Python, Shell or any equivalent language) is required Hands-on experience with Object oriented programming with C/C++/Java is a nice to have Background in payment processing industry or financial services industry is nice to have Behavioral attributes Ability to take ownership Willingness to learn niche technologies based on role needs Inclination to understand the business area Must have excellent listening, communication and influencing skills.
