GS-0854-13 Computer Engineer *Summary* You will serve as a Computer Engineer in the Enterprise Systems Engineering Division of the Undersea Systems & Sustainment Engineering (US&SE) Department, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, Washington ( NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA) Duties * You will exercise systems engineering principles and practices to develop, evaluate, and recommend; standards, processes, tools and methods for requirements management, technical specifications, platform and systems design, and architecture. * You will negotiate and develop solutions with NAVAIR PMA-205 program sponsor, provide program liaison with program sponsor and Navy technical activities such as Navy laboratories, field activities, private industry, and direct Fleet interfaces. * You will discuss technical programmatic matters such as technical problems, recommendations and system performance issues with NAVAIR program sponsor, Navy technical activities, and private industry. * You will perform as a Systems Engineer and Project Lead over a group of skilled engineers and technical specialists in support of fleet training, software development and test, operations and system security, and system modernization. * You will lead complex Systems Engineering initiatives exercising interdisciplinary processes to develop and sustain relevant and innovative software and hardware information system(s) capabilities. * You will provide technical direction for teams consisting of engineers and technical specialists in performance and reliability assessment for improving system performance, availability, and effectiveness. * You will develop methods for ensuring system configuration management, information protection, reliability, availability, risk management, and test and evaluation for managed hardware and software system(s). * You will provide inputs to program budgets, task descriptions and workload/manpower estimates. * You will develop program support plans for the program sponsor; a critical element used by the sponsor in the development of their overall program requirements to higher authority. * You will keep abreast of latest technical engineering changes in the field of information systems and looks for opportunities to implement as needed to keep system current and relevant. *Requirements and Qualifications* (both education and/or experience) specific to this position can be viewed on USAJOBS https://www.usajobs.gov/job/655251300 This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment).
