Check out our company page https//www.imagefirst.com/company/ The Lead Operator's primary responsibility is to act as a liaison to plant leadership in coordinating resources on the production floor. The Lead Operator will ensure that all tasks necessary to complete the load out of product for delivery in their specific department have been completed daily. To be successful, the Lead Operator will monitor the production and productivity of their department throughout the day, communicate needs with other Lead Operator associates and/or leadership, and monitor the safety and cleanliness of the department daily. The Lead Operator will be responsible for other tasks, including but not limited to Set the floor at the beginning of the shift and continue to stage resources as needed for daily load-outsBreak down items scan, process/sort, tag and label product Load and unload laundryInspect product to see that it meets standards for finishing, stains, and repairsHelp track productivity in their respective departmentParticipate in daily production update meetings with production managementMonitor clean return levels per route per day and report to supervisor any recommendations on reductionsAssisting with identifying and training a backfill of Lead Operators for any time-off needsKnowledge of the proper usage of all production equipment in the plantAnalyze and monitor shelf levels for back stock of load-outs Report needs in a timely manner to supervisorHelp ensure load-outs are completed 100% dailyCommunicate shortages to supervisorOther duties may be assigned depending on area of plant KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing General computer knowledge requiredBasic math required addition, subtraction, division, multiplicationWell-respected by peers and local leadershipCoachable and flexible to process changesMaintain regular, dependable attendance and high-level performanceFlexibility in scheduling based on volume. Must be available to work overtime during high volume periods if neededPhysical ability to continuously stand, stoop, bend, reach, push, and stack merchandise Lifting requirements up to 30 poundsAbility to learn new skills and take on additional job responsibilities as needed WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDSWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds and maintain an active presence on the production floor. Machinery and tool operation require the use of safety equipment/PPE. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
