Machine Operator - Weekend Overnight Shift
Position Summary: As a Manufacturing Operator, you’ll play a hands-on role in producing RFID inlays, tags, and embeddable products that power real-world tracking and identification solutions. You’ll operate equipment, support testing processes, and help ensure our products meet quality and performance standards.In this role, you’ll develop expertise in a key area of the manufacturing process and expand your skills over time through training in additional production areas. This is a great opportunity to build technical knowledge, grow your capabilities, and contribute directly to meeting production goals and customer needs.This is a full-time position assigned to Weekend PM Shift: 7pm – 7am, Saturday-Sunday and an additional weekday (Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday). This role may require overtime, including extended shifts or weekend work, depending on production schedules and customer demand. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAbility to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety, ESD, and cleanroom protocolsBasic computer skills and math proficiencyAbility to use inspection equipment such as microscopesAbility to use small tools and measurement devicesAbility to read, understand, and communicate manufacturing documentationWillingness to work overtime as neededPrior manufacturing, machining, or cleanroom experience preferredExperience working with automated or semi-automated production equipment preferredFamiliarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office preferredEssential Job Functions:Equipment OperationOperate and monitor manufacturing equipment used in RFID inlay, tag, and embeddable product productionPerform equipment set-up, changeovers, and basic adjustments for roll-to-roll and reel-to-reel processesExecute both manual and automated processing of componentsSupport RFID assembly processes, including operation of spring assembly, measuring, auto-testing, and seed preparation equipmentFollow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet daily output goalsPerform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas to support safe and efficient operationsTroubleshootingPerform basic equipment troubleshooting, including raw material changes, responding to common error codes, and monitoring yieldIdentify and escalate more complex equipment or process issues as neededQuality Testing & AssuranceInspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality and performance specificationsConduct RF and performance testing of productsPerform characterization testing of microelectronic parts using inspection tools such as microscopes and measurement devicesAccurately complete process and quality documentationPackagingPrepare finished goods for shipment, including packaging, boxing, labeling, and core cuttingAccurately complete material transactions, including labeling and ERP system inputsEnsure packaging meets quality and customer requirementsReworkPerform rework operations, including set-up, processing, monitoring, and documentation of reworked materialsSafety, Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementFollow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, ESD controls, and cleanroom gowning requirementsParticipate in shift changeover meetings and communicate effectively with team membersSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and production outputSupport team production goals, including working overtime as neededPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentEffective communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to use microscopes, small tools, and specialized equipmentAbility to learn new processes and equipmentPhysical Abilities (ex: standing, pulling, include duration):Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
