After School Program Assistant and Bus Driver

Overview We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as After School Program Staff. If you have a passion for working with children and creating a positive learning environment, we want to hear from you. The Afterschool Program typically serves about 37 children, ages K-6th grade. We are currently operating Monday through Thursday 2:30 to 6:00 and Friday 1:30 to 6:00. The calendar year follows the Bixby Public Schools calendar. Responsibilities Assist the children with homework. Carry out planned activities. Monitor children while playing on the playground, gym , and using the restroom. Assist the children during snack time. Assist the Afterschool Program Director with ensuring a safe and secure environment. Assist with daily clean-up and organization. Perform other duties as assigned by the Afterschool Program Director. Responsible for arriving on time to pick up the children from the assigned school. Must demonstrate safety while transporting the children to the church. Perform all job duties in accordance with the church's policies and applicable laws. Contact Afterschool Program Director immediately when you cannot be present for work. Requirements: High school Education 25 years of age or older with a clean driving record. Experience working with children Ablility to work well with other afterschool workers serving with you. Dependable work attendance. Able to pass a background check. Must watch Awareness Training Video (1 hr) and complete the quiz at the end. Accountablility: This position is directly responsible to the Afterschool Program Director, and Senior Pastor and indirectly to the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
