Quality Assurance Manager
A leading advanced manufacturing company serving the transportation and industrial markets is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and support a growing production operation.This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, partnering with production and engineering teams, solving problems, and making a measurable impact on plant performance.Responsibilities• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives• Manage APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and capability studies• Conduct and oversee Gauge R&R activities and process audits• Review and disposition non-conforming materials while ensuring timely corrective action responses• Support customer quality requirements and maintain strong customer relationships• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities to improve process capability and product performance• Partner closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve quality and reduce variability• Maintain compliance with quality standards and customer-specific requirements• Mentor and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement• Participate in production meetings and maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floorQualifications• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or related manufacturing leadership roles• Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis• Experience within automotive, transportation, plastics, composites, molding, or related manufacturing environments preferred• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation• Experience with ISO quality systems and customer quality requirements• Proficiency using quality measurement tools and inspection equipment• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience highly preferred• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills• Hands-on management style with a willingness to work closely with production teamsWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking a quality leader who enjoys being in the plant, understands manufacturing processes, and can effectively bridge the gap between quality, engineering, and operations.
