CNC Machine Repair Technician II - Lafayette, IN 47905 | Lafayette, Indiana, United States Job Title: CNC Machine Repair Technician IILocation: Lafayette, IN 47905Duration: 3+ Months (Temp to Perm)Pay Rate: $25-$27/hr (W2)Shift: 2nd Shift (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM)Job Summary:Seeking a CNC Machine Repair Technician II with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of CNC machines and industrial equipment. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and industrial equipmentPerform preventive maintenance using CMMSRead and interpret electrical/mechanical schematicsDiagnose electrical, mechanical, and process-related issuesFollow safety protocols (LOTO, PPE) and identify risksProvide updates on work orders and ensure compliance with standardsRecommend improvements for equipment performanceUse diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computers for maintenance tasksMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of industrial/commercial maintenance experienceValid driver's licenseAbility to work at heights (up to 30 ft)Must pass drug test and be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain site security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical or related fieldExperience with 480V 3-phase systemsExperience with motors, motor controls, and electrical troubleshootingFamiliarity with CMMS/work order systemsPhysical Requirements:Lift up to 50 lbsClimb ladders, bend, kneel, and walk extensivelyPerform repetitive movements and distinguish wire colorsAdditional Info:Overtime, weekends, and shift flexibility requiredMust wear PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
